Breaking | Spirit Airlines Suspends All Operations

U.S.-based carrier Spirit Airlines has suspended all operations as of May 2, 2026. The airline announced that all flights have been canceled and advised passengers not to proceed to the airport.

In its statement, the company cited rising fuel costs and mounting financial pressure, noting that despite ongoing restructuring efforts, it was unable to secure additional funding. As a result, the suspension of operations became unavoidable.

Refunds for tickets purchased via credit or debit cards will be processed automatically, while details regarding other payment methods will be clarified at a later stage.
